Thank you for showing interest in the McGrath Family Farmers! Are you buying from local farms and want to learn more about how your food is grown? Are you a student wanting to learn about regenerative agriculture? Or maybe you want a low-stakes way of trying out farming as a career? Now you can with one of our farm experiences:
McGrath Family Farms is now offering a four-week-long Saturday curriculum on our 35 acres of regenerative farmland in Camarillo, California, so you can get an inside look at mission-based production agriculture. Over the course of the month, you'll be dipping your toe into what it would be like to be a farmer: the basics of production, sales, and distribution; how to plant and nurture your crop, and even harvest and take home what you’ve grown!
What you'll get:
This course starts on the first Saturday of each month and meets for the next three consecutive Saturdays from 8am-11am. We intentionally keep our class sizes small to ensure a quality experience so if a class fills up, make sure to check back the following month.
No background in farming necessary, all are welcome.
